Potable Water Treatment in a Batch Reactor Benefited by Combined Filtration and Catalytic Ozonation

Due to continuous contamination of groundwater by anthropogenic activities, potable water fetches numerous pollutants such as pathogens, pharmaceuticals, and heavy metals, with these being severe health hazards. The main aim the current study was develop a hybrid unit based on catalytic ozonation filtration process effectively remove contaminants in drinking water. To best our knowledge, study, Fe-Zeolite 4A (Fe-Z4A)/O3 followed involving rice husk activated carbons were studied for first time order treat In investigation, fecal coliforms, arsenic, turbidity, TDS removal investigated novel reactor. results showed 100%, 45%, 40%, 70%, 95% coliform, TDS, paracetamol, turbidity efficiency, respectively. further indicated that all samples WHO guidelines NEQS quality after proposed treatment. Therefore, it is concluded implies single highly efficient designed reactor treatment can be scaled up future household or commercial use.
